The Timestamp Register

Register the SHA-256 fingerprint of a file together with a non-qualified timestamp and later prove that the file already existed at a specific point in time. Each entry is assigned a register number in our register and is immutably linked to a timestamp on the Solana blockchain.

How the Register Works

Four steps, from the file to the certificate. The real name is not stored on the blockchain.

  1. Calculate Hash

Your browser calculates the SHA-256 hash of the file. The file itself is never transmitted.

  2. Calculate Author Hash

The file hash, real name, and a secret method are used to create the author hash.

  3. Store on Solana

Both hashes are written to the blockchain as part of a transaction and remain stored there.

  4. Receive Register Number

The entry is added to our public register, and you receive a PDF certificate.

Versatile Applications

Proof of Priority

Show that a draft, manuscript, or data set already existed at a particular point in time.

Integrity Protection

A modified file produces a different hash. Any alteration becomes immediately apparent.

Publicly Verifiable

Anyone can verify the entry in the register and on the blockchain.

Strong Data Protection Through a One-Way Hash Function

We never see your file and do not store your real name on the blockchain. Only hashes appear in the register. Anyone wishing to verify the entry will need the real name from you. The real name cannot be recovered from the hash, because it is not possible to calculate the name from the hash value. Nevertheless, when the file hash, author hash, and real name are provided, the real name can be verified.
